Private beta · summer 2026
For circles of 2–6

Where besties cook, bake, and break bread together.

Kneadmates is a private kitchen for you and your closest cooks. Save the recipes that matter, share the grocery run, run a Saturday bake-off, and stand side-by-side at the oven — same kitchen, or the same kitchen in two time zones.

No public feed. No follower counts. Just your people and your oven. See what we mean.

A few things to clear up

Not another feed.
A kitchen, built for the circle.

When Yummly shut down in late 2024 it left a hole in the community-recipe space. Kneadmates is what fills it — but scoped tight. The room is your besties, your partner, your roommate who insists on making their own pasta dough. Nothing else.

  • A private kitchen for two to six.
  • A ritual calendar, not a feed.
  • Portions that actually work for a small group.

Not a public recipe feed

1

Your kitchen is invite-only. No views, no saves-for-later from strangers.

Not a passive video network

2

You cook on it, you don’t just watch it. Side-by-side, same timer, your besties across the table or the ocean.

Not a general recipe saver

3

Built for the circle — scaled portions, shared grocery, ritual cadences. The bestie is the unit, not the recipe.

How it works

Three steps. One small kitchen.

The same loop your group already runs on a Saturday morning — we just give it a clock, a list, and a room to be in together.

  1. Start your kitchen

A private room for two to six. Invite by handle — no follower counts, no public discoverability, no strangers.

    In your kitchen

A pinned kitchen code and four besties with handles.

  2. Save, swap, and scale recipes

Drop in a screenshot, paste a link, or dictate to your fridge. The kitchen scales a recipe of four down for two, or up for six, without you doing the math.

    In your kitchen

A loaf scaled down for two, an extra egg added for six.

  3. Run the ritual

Pick a template — sourdough Saturday, cookie swap, weeknight ramen, date-night dinner. The kitchen handles the timeline, the timer, and the gentle nudge when someone is preheating.

    In your kitchen

A timer your whole group shares, with a nudge when it dings.

Ritual templates

The Saturday is the product.

Kneadmates ships with the four formats Sally’s Baking Addiction and Bon Appétit Bake Club proved drive loyalty — ready to run, not invented from scratch every week.

weekly01

Sourdough Saturday

Same loaf. Two time zones. Feed and fold together.

monthly02

Bake-off

One brief, three bakes, the group picks a winner. The kitchen times everything.

seasonal03

Cookie swap

Eight kinds, eight bakers, one afternoon. The grocery list builds itself.

weeknight04

Date-night dinner

A two-person menu built for your week. Surprise your partner, not the algorithm.

Now inviting the first kitchens

Bring your besties. Pick a Saturday.

Kneadmates opens in private beta this summer. We’re letting in bestie-groups one at a time so the kitchen always feels like yours — not a launch week waiting room.
